Here at Stardust we put on a show every year at the Sinden Theatre in Tenterden, Kent. We also perform at various fetes throughout the year, including Headcorn and Godinton. Each show includes every child that wishes to take part whatever their age and ability. Both children and adults have a great time dressing up in their beautiful costumes and performing the routines they have worked hard on for the last two terms. See our photos below of our most recent events!
Our unique aim as a dance organisation is to create more unity and collaboration between education and specialist dance teachers. The projects and initiatives below are some of the ways we are designing opportunities to strengthen links between dance education and the wider dance community. We are generating new partnerships and relationships, as well as championing our current successful connections.
Dancing is a highly physical activity and the children which participate regularly are likely to see significant improvement in their overall physical health. Dance can also increase your child’s flexibility and stamina.
There’s a growing interest in the power of dance to improve physical and mental well being in later years. Research suggests that the social dimension is almost as important as the physical.
classes provide a chance for anyone to participate in a full class for just £1, providing the opportunity to try our classes before deciding to join the School. Classes are offered in term times only.

The most important of all the dance disciplines. Ballet gives a student the grace and posture which will stay with them for life. It also builds strength and flexibility and develops a student in a way that helps them with co-ordination and balance. Ballet is recommended for all of our students. From the early classes that develop a sense of fun and creativity to the more advanced classes extending to the vocational Grades and Pointe work, We like to encourage Ballet to everyone joining our school. students are entered for Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examinations which offer an internationally recognised portfolio of exams designed to motivate and encourage students of all ages and levels of ability. These will gain you UCAS points in the UK.
We aim to give every child the opportunity to develop self-confidence, poise, co-ordination and musicality in a fun, creative yet highly professional environment. As our children grow and develop, they will have the opportunity to learn other dance forms, take classes in singing and drama and participate in performances and competitions.
Tap Dancing explores many different rhythms using the feet and wearing special shoes with metal plates on. It is a fun and exciting Dance discipline and helps the dancer improve coordination and timing. Tap is popular in many Shows and Musicals and everyone loves the benefit that Tap brings to them. Once ready, students are entered for ISTD & NATD Tap Examinations.
Modern/Jazz is a rhythmic dance style which originated in America before travelling to the rest of the world. It is often seen on stage and is known for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility. Once ready, students are entered for ISTD Modern examinations.
